The YMCA-YWCA of Northeast Avalon is pleased to announce the names of the provincial award winners in the 10th Annual Create a Logo Competition and the 11th Market Your Thoughts Essay Competition. The competitions involve students from grades 4-9. Students are asked to identify business opportunities that they believe could work in their community, their region, or anywhere in Newfoundland and Labrador. Many thanks to the students and teachers who participated as well as to the judges that generously gave of their time in this year’s competitions.

Provincial winners in each competition receive $100 for their business idea.

8 chaperones representing O’Donel High, Bishops College, Gonzaga, Lakeside Academy, Lewisporte Collegiate, Corner Brook Regional High and John Burke High

Thursday Night movies and popcorn
Friday night Glow Bowling and cinema
Saturday afternoon Commercial Competition
Saturday afternoon outing to the Barn Loft for homemade ice cream and candy
Saturday night Bollywood dance with the Bollywood Jigg Dance Troupe and DJ Tony Wiseman
