After 32 years, the St. John's Y located at 34 New Cove Road closed on May 31, 2011 in preparation for the opening of the new Ches Penney Family Y located at 35 Ridge Road soon after on July 11, 2011. The Y held an all day closing event celebration on May 31 in the old building. All Y members, volunteers, and staff were invited to stop by and share in the celebration.
