The YMCA-YWCA of Northeast Avalon received a generous donation from Sun Life Financial to the Y Strong Families Campaign and its project to build the new Ches Penney Family Y. The new Y is under construction at 35 Ridge Road and anticipated to open in the late spring of 2011. Representatives from Sun Life Financial were pleased to make the $50,000 donation to Y volunteers and staff for the Sun Life Terrace in the new facility.
