Weston Bakeries Donates New Gym Floor, Bouncer and Climbing Wall to the Mount Pearl Y!

Darlene Anstey, Territory Manager Weston Bakeries, presented Sharon Horan, YMCA-YWCA of Northeast Avalon Campaign Cabinet Chair, with a gift for the Mount Pearl Y for a new gym floor, bouncer and climbing Wall.

The final piece - the climbing wall – is now complete and the ribbon cutting was held at the Mount Pearl Y on Saturday October 18, 2008. Many families and children gathered for the event and enjoyed the new gym floor, tried out the new climbing wall and jumped on the bouncer.

This gift was part of the WONDER Play, Dream Grow community spirit program which provided funding to several Ys across the country to help them develop play spaces that promote active lifestyles and play among Canadian children.

YMCA-YWCA of Northeast Avalon would like to extend a thank you to Weston Bakeries for their generous donation to the Mount Pearl Y.
