YMCA World Peace Week 2009

Thank you to everyone who attended our Peace Week 2009 Breakfast!

The YMCA-YWCA of Northeast Avalon is proud to have participated in the 25th Annual YMCA World Peace Week. Ys across Canada, recognizing Peace Makers in their Communities, were excited to be hosting a Peace Week Breakfast.

At this year’s event the YMCA Peace Medals were awarded to Stefanie Finn and Judy Brazil. Stefanie is a spiritual leader who inspires people in the community through her workshops, book and practice. Judy is the secretary at Stella Maris Academy and is also the secretary at Trepassy Parish. She goes above and beyond her daily duties volunteering and helping people in the community.
