Ches Penney Family Y Ribbon Cutting Ceremony

The Ches Penney Family Y, opened on July 23, 2011 kicked off it's opening with a ribbon-cutting ceremony on July 11, 2011. The ceremony celebrated the grand opening of a new $15.4 million facility for the Northeast Avalon. The event included a speech by Ches Penney, our naming donor who with Campaign Cabinet Co-Chairs, Project Committee Co-Chairs, YMCA-YWCA of Northeast Avalon President and CEO, Jason Brown, and Director, Development Michelle Northover, at the end of the ceremony, cut the ribbon to mark the completion of a new facility.
